Part-time Museum Tour Guide

The Enfield Shaker Museum is looking for a part-time Museum Tour Guide for the upcoming summer and fall months.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Interpret Shaker history, community and religion to visitors.
  2. Interpret the Enfield Shaker site and the presence of the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette.
  3. Assist in the Store retail sales as needed.

Physical demands:
Ability to lift 30 to 40 lbs.

Work environment:
Focus is on the Great Stone Dwelling and the Mary Keane Chapel, with occasional work throughout the Museum site and grounds as needed.

Work Experience requirements:

  1. Public speaking experience preferred.
  2. Point-of-Sale experience preferred.

Competency requirements:

  1. Ability to engage audiences
  2. Quality focus
  3. Team effectiveness

Hours: Part-time, seasonal, flexible schedule with ability to work weekends preferred, no benefits.
