Discovering New England Stone Walls

Wednesday, November 7 6 - 8 pm

Discovering New England Stone Walls

Funded through a grant from the New Hampshire Humanities Council.

Join us for an exciting evening with author, tradesman, and teacher Kevin Gardner, author of The Granite Kiss. Learn about how and why New England came to acquire its thousands of miles of stone walls, the ways in which they were built, how their styles emerged and changed over time, and their significance to the famous New England landscape. During the program, watch Kevin build a miniature wall or walls on a tabletop, using tiny stones from a five-gallon bucket.

Admission free. Advanced registration not required.

For more information or to register, call the Museum at (603) 632-4346 or email the Museum at education@shakermuseum.org
