Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Genealogy

Want to learn more about your family history? Join genealogist, Dick Dabrowski for a two-part workshop. He has been researching, finding relatives, and helping others find missing family members for more than 50 years.

Session 1 (Morning):  For beginning and intermediate genealogists.  Using www.ancestry.com, and www.familysearch.org, and Ancestral Quest 15, learn how to find “lost” relatives and build a family tree. Topics will include finding the “hidden databases” on both sites, uploading sources and photographs, locating other family researchers, organizing documentation, and writing a genealogy to share with other family members.

Session 2 (Afternoon): For intermediate and advanced genealogists. Using free online databases (US and Europe), government indexes, civil and sacramental records, military records, newspapers, and other primary source material to find more information about your family than you ever imagined.

Cost: Morning or afternoon $20 per person. $15 members.  All day $35 per person. $25 members.  Advanced registration required.

For more information or to register, call the Museum at (603) 632-4346 or email the Museum at education@shakermuseum.org
