History Alive

May – First Week of June 9:00 am – 1:30 pm

History Alive Fourth and Fifth Grade Field Trips

Grade 4 and 5 student groups spend a day in the work of the Shakers as part of their study of regional history. Students will learn about the Shaker craftsmanship, integrity in business, stewardship of their land, creative inventions, and strong sense of community. The day will be filled with learning in a reproduction 1850s school room, singing Shaker songs, baking bread in a Shaker kitchen, and other fun activities.
Cost: $5 per student. Transportation scholarships available.
