Preparing your Garden
Composting? Mulching? Fertilizing? What do they all mean? What are the best practices for creating a healthy environment for your garden and new plants? If you have questions about these ideas and more, this is the workshop for you! Come join our garden experts as we discuss the ins and outs of getting your space ready for your new plants. We will discuss soil testing, adding nutrients to the soil, best practices and more. Using the Shaker Museum Herb Garden as our classroom we will get out and dig/sift/add and prepare a bed for planting. Please wear garden appropriate attire and bring along any tools that you use (not the whole shed please) and be ready to get dirty! This workshop is weather dependent.
Cost: $20 per person. $17 Museum members. Class size limited to 20.
To register, call the Museum at (603) 632-4346 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
