Sign Up for Garden Plots at the Community Garden at Enfield Shaker Museum

Enfield, NH – Enfield Shaker Museum is offering the local residents to sign up for garden plots in the new Community Garden. The grand opening is on May 22, but individuals and families are encouraged to register now. The new Community Garden is funded by the Hanover-based Hypertherm. The project will give adults, families and children a chance to grow their own vegetables. This effort meets the Museum’s core values to care for the environment and the local community. The Museum’s Sustainability Committee has designed the organic garden and is offering plots in two sizes to meet different needs and abilities. Children are encouraged to participate.

The garden organizers are Barbara Woods, Happy Griffiths, Colin High, Mardy High, and Nan Munsey.

Fees for the garden plots are $20 for a 20’ x 20’ plot and $10 for a 10’ x 10’ plot. A deposit of an equal amount is required and will be refunded in the fall if the gardens are maintained properly.

The Museum is located on Route 4A, in the town of Enfield, between Andover and Lebanon. Free parking is available on the site.
