2021 Archaeology Field School
June 1 - June 25
Since 2015, Enfield Shaker Museum and Plymouth State University have collaborated to sponsor an annual Shaker Archaeology Field School on the site of the former Enfield Shaker Village Church Family. Our seventh annual archaeological field school will focus on the area adjacent to the south façade of Brethren’s East Shop (1819) (tailoring) and Brethren’s West Shop (1820) (woodworking), as well as the nearby well platform and walkways. A second project will determine the exact location of the Wood House (1814/1841).
