An Evening of Piano Music with Daesik Cha
Join the Museum for an evening of piano compositions by Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann, and Liszt featuring M.I.T. Affiliated artist and piano lab instructor, Daesik Cha. Cha, a native of South Korea, has established himself as a dynamic musician whose work encompasses performing, directing, teaching, and music scholarship. He was featured as a chamber music player with the Irving Fine Society at Harvard’s Sanders Theater and celebrated as a soloist at the Franz Liszt bicentennial at Brandeis University. Not just a performer, Cha also holds a PhD degree in Musicology from Brandeis University which he earned for his dissertation, “Transformation of the Keyboard Fantasia in the Classical Period (1780 – 1800).” Additionally, he holds master’s degrees in music history and literature, and piano performance.
Cost: Admission is by donation ($15 – $20 recommended.)
