September 1 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
$60 – $65
Join artist and retired art teacher, Kate Mortimer, for an interactive session on eco- dyeing. Eco dyeing is a process which uses the natural pigments and form of fresh plant materials in order to leave beautiful impressions on fabric. Unlike traditional dyeing, eco-dye gives participants the chance to experiment with plants that would not be used in a more traditional dyeing process. Participants will work on their own projects which they will take home at the end of the class. Dyeing is a messy process so please wear old clothes and shoes. Bring rubber gloves if you have them. All other materials will be provided.
