DESCRIPTION:Herbal Container Garden Workshop\nSaturday\, May 25\, 2024\n1:00 pm – 3:00 pm\nInterested in starting your own Herbal Container Garden? Join us for an immersive workshop on the art of growing herbs in a container garden. \nYou will learn the fundamentals of container gardening\, including selecting suitable containers\, soil preparation\, proper watering techniques\, and essential care tips to ensure thriving herb growth. \nExplore the diverse array of herbs that flourish in containers\, while discussing their unique characteristics and uses. \nGuided by Museum Garden Coordinator Susan Quinlan\, you will gain hands-on experience as you plant your own container garden to take home.You will choose a customized mx of five different herb plants for your containers. \nHerb plants and soil will be provided\, please bring your own container(s)/pot(s) for planting. \nClass is limited to 12 participants. Advance registration is required. \nMuseum Members – $40/person \nNon-Members – $47/person \nAll proceeds from this workshop go to support the educational mission of Enfield Shaker Museum. Please consider making a contribution toward a scholarship registration that will be gifted to someone who otherwise would not be able to attend. \nComing from a distance? Check out room availability here. \nWant to know more about Susan Quinlan?\nSusan Quinlan is a retired registered nurse who has been creating and caring for gardens for forty-nine years. She is a self taught and dedicated organic gardener living in Canaan\, NH.  She grows flowers\, herbs\, vegetables\, perennials\, and shrubs on a northern slope. Susan creates wreaths for all seasons and gives hands-on workshops in wildcrafting. She is currently the Garden Coordinator at Enfield Shaker Museum. Her passion is to create connections between people and plants.
