Vending begins at 6 pm.\nRAIN LOCATION – Moved to North Family Wood House (Former LaSalette Cafeteria)\nWhat’s better than a relaxing evening outside? FREE live music! \nJoin us on the lawn of the beautiful Stone Machine Shop on Wednesdays of July and August for some free\, live music! Bring chairs or a picnic blanket and spread out on the lawn and listen to the band play. \nBring a picnic dinner to enjoy or purchase food from the on-site food truck. You’re welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks. (State liquor laws prohibit outside alcohol from being brought onto the premises.) \nThis is not a BYOB event. \nLeashed and well-behaved dogs are welcome to join us. \nVending begins at 6 pm and the music starts at 7 pm. The Museum’s gift shop will also be open for visitors to visit either before or during the show. \nIn the case of bad weather\, the show will go on!\nWe will move the concert inside. Lewis and MaryBeth Zamer\, known on stage as The Twangtown Paramours\, have made a name for themselves defying boundaries with their award-winning catalogue of Americana\, Folk\, and Blues anthems. With a slew of accolades for their first three full-length albums\, they’ve earned a loyal following\, balancing serious instrumental and vocal chops with witty stage banter and a lighthearted approach to life.  Their latest album\, The Wind Will Change Again\, is an acoustic Folk record consisting of a collection of songs that the Twangers call their best to date. It was released in January of 2025 to rave reviews\, came in at #1 on the Folk Alliance International Chart\, and had six of the top ten songs for the month of release. \nHit songwriter\, session musician\, and producer Mike Lewis was born in NYC\, but his sound is informed by a mix of experiences across the country’s major music centers\, including NYC\, L.A.\, Austin\, and Nashville. All concert donations support the ongoing restoration of the organ. \nAll concerts will be followed by a reception in the Museum Herb Garden (weather permitting) or in the Great Stone Dwelling. \nOrgan and Trumpet Recital\nMusical Fireworks: Trumpet and Organ music by Bach\, Purcell\, Mouret\, Hovaness\, and Peeters. \nTrumpeter Jacob Crawford has just finished his second year at Dartmouth College\, where he studies engineering with a focus on materials for application in the energy sector. His interest in music focuses on repertoire from the Baroque and Renaissance eras. He is also a ski instructor and soccer coach. Organist Henry Danaher is the Director of Music at The Church of Christ at Dartmouth College\, the principal accompanist for the Dartmouth College Glee Club\, and with the William Jewett Tucker Center\, serves as Dartmouth’s College Organist. Henry has given two solo organ recitals and co-directed three choral projects at the Mary Keane Chapel. \nHenry Danaher\n  \nJacob Crawford\nOrgan Restoration Update\nBob Waters and Richard Nickerson are continuing to address important restoration needs on the Casavant organ in the Museum’s Mary Keane Chapel. This fall and winter they removed and completely rebuilt the wind chest that receives and regulates the air pressure produced by the organ’s electric blower. This included replacing all the original leather work that controls the release of air to the organ pipes. In addition to maintaining the organ’s tuning\, they have been repairing coupling mechanisms that have failed. Unfortunately the Casavant company no longer makes certain replacement parts\, so some aspects of the restoration work requires creative problem solving. We are fortunate to\nhave two craftsmen\, well versed in the intricacies of Casavant organ construction\, caring for this precious instrument. \nThank you for your support of their ongoing restoration work.

He is a consultant to performance venues\, educational institutions\, and the Pipe Organ Community. He is currently the Prinicpal Organist at Mechanics Hall in Worcester\, MA.This evening of summer fun will be a ”double feature” starting with the beautiful film The Red Balloon\, an award-winning short film elegantly capturing the adventures of a boy who befriends a seemingly sentient balloonand follows it through the streets of Paris. Followed by The Cameraman a 1928 American silent romantic comedy film directed by Edward Sedgwick and starring Buster Keaton. \nPeter Krasinski\nOrgan Restoration Update\nBob Waters and Richard Nickerson are continuing to address important restoration needs on the Casavant organ in the Museum’s Mary Keane Chapel. DESCRIPTION:Outdoor Adventure Painting\nAn ‘En Plein Air’ Art Experience for All Seasons and Terrain\nAugust 20th\, 2025\n9:30 am – 12:30 pm\nEnfield Shaker Herb Garden \n447 NH Route 4A \nEnfield\, NH 03748 \nThis monthly drop-in class meets in a different inspiring location throughout the year to draw\, paint\, sketch or photograph nature in comradery with other outdoor art enthusiasts.  This inclusive and welcoming group is designed to engage artists at all levels & to consider the natural effects of light & its ever changing influences on our landscape. Careful consideration of comfort in your outdoor gear is important when creating art in the open air.  Feel free to bring a full plein air kit or for ease & simplicity bring a simple sketchbook with pencil & pen\, or anything you like\, whatever works in your favor. There will be locations that involve light hiking\, which will be noted in the monthly location description. We will have complimentary hand warmers available to keep those fingers moving.  This drop-in series is an opportunity to create a fun community of artists\, to be inspired\, creative\, adventurous\, & to be amidst nature in all seasons throughout the year! \n**You can register and pay online in advance\, or if needed Heidi can collect cash or check for the class upon arrival. \nFee: \n$8/session for LAC members\n $12 for non-members
