DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nVersatile Tote Basket\nWith Dona Nazarenko\nNovember 7\, 2026 \n9:00 am – 5:00 pm\n \nWhether you are looking to add a homemade touch your table\, to make a gift for the holiday season\, or even to learn a new skill\, then this decorative yet functional twill bread tray workshop is for you! Join us at the Enfield Shaker Museum and basket maker Dona Nazarenko on November 7th for an all day workshop. The class will be using dyed and natural reed\, with color choices available to make each basket uniquely yours. The final basket will be about 9″ x 15″ x 2 1/2″ high. \n  \nWho is Doña Nazerenko? \nResiding in Tunbridge\, Vermont\, Doña Nazarenko has been weaving since 1988 and teaching since 1994. While living along the New Jersey coast\, Doña developed an interest in woodcrafts and related art forms that developed into her desire to take basket making classes in 1988. \nHer exploration of a different art medium has since evolved into a flourishing talent. She now enjoys making traditional baskets using reed with wooden accents to more challenging baskets using birch bark from the area surrounding her current residence in rural Vermont. \nThe highlight of the early years at her craft was having a one-on-one critique with John McGuire at Peter’s Gallery in 1992. His confidence in her and his discretion continues to help her with her current work. Today she can be seen demonstrating basketry representing Vermont fiber artists at local and out-of-state events. Most days she can be found working in her studio at Country Spirit Baskets \nPlease bring your own lunch.
