From traditional apple and cherry pies to one-of-a-kind fruit “flag”  and decorated berry pies we have the perfect homemade pie for every taste!! \nPlan to be there when we open\, we sell out fast!!  All pies sell for $20 each. \nCome for the pie\, stay for the garden activities! \n11:00 am – 1:00 pm  \nHerb Sale \nChoose from our fresh\, dried or potted herbs for your summer culinary delight or create your own blend for tea. \nSelf guided Garden Tours \nExplore our 7000 square foot Herb Bed  \n11:30 am  Children’s Story Time and Sensory Garden Activity  \nHow to Tap into your senses in the herb garden. Ages\, Pre School to Second Grade. \nYou and your child can enjoy a delightful read out loud story time followed by a sensory garden exploration. Smell the fragrant herbs\, taste the culinary herbs\, touch the fuzzy herbs and see the vibrant colors of the plants and flowers. \n12:00 pm Guided Herb Talk and Tour.  \nJoin Museum Coordinator Susan Quinlan\, as she introduces you to the herbs grown in our Village Garden. You will have an opportunity to learn about the Shakers’ historical use of these herbs for hygiene\, medicine\, culinary and dyeing needs. Walk the paths on the land that helped sustain the Enfield Shaker Community for more than a century. \nOur Herb Gardens are maintained with the help of our dedicated Village Garden Volunteers. \nFREE ADMISSION. Donations to the Enfield Shaker Museum are accepted.

Indulge your senses and discover the fragrances\, the colors\, and unique natural beauty to be found in the diverse herb plants. As you stroll the garden paths\, you will harvest a personal blend of herbs from the garden for your preservation project. \nAfter gathering the herbs\, you will discover the art of infusing vinegars with herbs to create flavors to enhance your culinary creations. Learn different methods for making herbal slats\, including drying\, grinding\, and blending for a versatile seasoning. You will receive individual hands-on guidance from our Museum Garden Coordinator Susan Quinlan\, as you create your own herbal vinegars and salts to take home. \nAll materials are included. \nClass is limited to 12 participants. Susan creates wreaths for all seasons and gives hands-on workshops in wildcrafting. She is currently the Garden Coordinator at Enfield Shaker Museum. The band has been in existence for over 40 years. They have appeared with Bill Monroe\, Juice Newton\, and on the Nashville Network (TNN). Cardigan Mountain Tradition has performed throughout New England including 15 years at the Eastern States Exposition in Springfield\, Massachusetts. \nThe band plays a mixture of traditional and original bluegrass music and blends humor into their family-friendly performances.
