In this class\, we will explore the benefits of everyday herbs and their uses in creating wellness remedies and natural household products. \nYou’ll discover how to craft your own Fire Cider—a potent\, immune-boosting tonic made from apple cider vinegar\, garlic\, ginger\, and other powerful herbs. This traditional remedy is perfect for fending off colds and boosting overall wellness. \nIn addition\, we’ll guide you through the process of making your own herbal cleaning product\, that is safe for your family and is environmentally friendly. You’ll leave with practical knowledge\, recipes\, and samples of your own Fire Cider and herbal cleaners to take home! \nThis workshop is perfect for beginners and herb enthusiasts alike. Come ready to get creative and inspired by the natural world around you! \nHot Cider and refreshments will be served. \nWant to learn about the instructor? \nSusan is a retired registered nurse who has been creating and caring for gardens and people for fifty years. As a self taught and dedicated organic gardener\, she is a recent graduate of the NH Master Gardeners program and holds a Native Plants for the Pollinators Certificate. Susan manages the 7000 square foot Herb Garden at the Enfield Shaker Museum\, where she teaches hands-on herb gardening and herbal crafting. In this evergreen wreath making workshop\, taught by Susan Quinlan\, Enfield Shaker Museum Garden Coordinator\, you will learn the secrets of evergreen wreath making. All materials needed to create a 12” wreath\, including freshly cut greens\, locally sourced natural decorations and ribbon for bows will be provided\, but please bring your own scissors and clippers. If you have special decorations you want to add to your wreath feel free to bring them along. Holiday themed refreshments will be served.
