SUMMARY:Free Outdoor Concert - Twangtown Paramours
DESCRIPTION:2026 Free Outdoor Concert Series\nTwangtown Paramours\nWednesday\, July 8\, 2026\nLive music starts at 7 pm. Vending begins at 6 pm.\n  \nJoin us outside the historic Stone Machine Shop for a FREE concert with The Twangtown Paramours! \nNashville-based husband-and-wife duo Mike T. Lewis and MaryBeth Zamer\, known on stage as The Twangtown Paramours\, have made a name for themselves defying boundaries with their award-winning catalogue of Americana\, folk\, and blues anthems. With a slew of accolades for their three full-length albums\, they’ve earned a loyal following\, balancing serious instrumental and vocal chops with witty stage banter and a lighthearted approach to life. They don’t take themselves\, or the world\, too seriously. With their third album\, Double Down on a Bad Thing\, The Twangtown Paramours shift gears to showcase a full band\, electric\, groove-oriented\, upbeat\, soul-infused\, and retro blues sound. “We want people to have fun\, to cheer up\, to dance\, and to start sporting a positive attitude\, dammit\,” says Mike. \nHit songwriter\, session musician\, and producer Mike Lewis was born in NYC\, but his sound is informed by a mix of experiences across the country’s major music centers\, including NYC\, L.A.\, Austin\, and Nashville. He began learning classical and jazz guitar at age eight\, studying under Leonid Bolotine\, William Matthews\, and Barry Galbraith\, before earning degrees at Columbia in New York City and the Grove School of Music in Los Angeles. He wrote a #1 platinum pop hit ranked the 2nd biggest-selling female ballad of all time in Korea\, and occasionally plays upright bass for Jimmie Dale Gilmore. \nBorn in Washington D.C.\, lead singer MaryBeth Zamer was raised on a mix of opera and American songbook music\, singing along to Dean Martin and Ella Fitzgerald\, before discovering Little Feat\, Bonnie Raitt\, and the blues in high school. A fixture in the Washington\, D.C. club scene for years\, MaryBeth performed with popular local cover band\, Ignition and sang backup vocals for Eva Cassidy’s band\, Method Actor. “Eva was a huge influence on my singing style\,” MaryBeth says. “She taught me to go beyond having fun and hitting the right notes\, to sing in a way that conveys real emotion.” \nBring your chairs and blankets and enjoy this free outdoor concert at the Enfield Shaker Museum Stone Machine Shop. \nBeer\, wine\, soda\, and snacks will be available to purchase during the concert. (No private alcohol allowed.) \nAloha and Bloom will be on site with their food truck. \nLive music will start at 7 pm. Vending will begin at 6 pm. \nRain or shine (we will move inside in case of rain.) Plenty of free parking. \n  \n  \n  \nTHANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS:\n \n

SUMMARY:Weekly Shaker Herb Garden Tour
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””] \nWeekly Shaker Herb Garden Tour\nwith Herbalist Happy Griffiths\nFridays at 11 am\, meet by the rose bushes in the garden\nJoin renowned herbalist and founder of the Enfield Shaker Museum Herb Garden\, Happy Griffiths\, for a guided tour through one of the Museum’s most beloved living exhibits. \nDiscover the fascinating history of the Shakers’ herb-growing traditions as you explore beds of culinary\, medicinal\, aromatic\, and dye plants. Along the way\, Happy will share stories of how these herbs were cultivated and used by the Enfield Shakers\, as well as their practical uses in today’s gardens and homes. \nWith decades of experience as an herbalist\, educator\, and the visionary behind the Museum’s herb garden\, Happy brings each tour to life with engaging insights and a deep appreciation for the connections between people\, plants\, and history. The Museum’s herb garden features many of the same plants that were grown by the Shakers as part of their thriving herb and medicine enterprise. \nFridays at 11:00 a.m. \nTours are free with Museum admission and are open to visitors of all ages. Whether you’re an avid gardener\, curious about herbal traditions\, or simply looking for a beautiful way to experience the Museum grounds\, this tour offers a unique opportunity to explore the living legacy of the Enfield Shakers. \nWhat to Expect \nTours last approximately one hour and take place rain or shine\, except in the case of thunder or lightning. Much of the tour is outdoors in full sun\, so we recommend dressing for the weather\, wearing comfortable walking shoes\, and bringing water\, sunscreen\, or rain gear as needed. \nThe herb garden features maintained paths\, but visitors should expect some uneven terrain. Benches are available in both sunny and shaded areas throughout the garden for those who would like to sit during the tour. \nVisitors are encouraged to engage all of their senses. You’ll have opportunities to see\, smell\, and ~when invited by your guide~ even taste selected herbs. To help preserve the garden and support the Museum’s educational mission\, we ask that visitors do not pick plants or harvest herbs during the tour.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”43041\,43040\,43039\,43038\,41538\,38962\,38961\,37884\,33653\,31553\,30263″ img_size=”medium” onclick=”” css=”” title=”Shaker Museum Herb Garden”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
