Join us during NH Gives in raising $10,000 to welcome 10,000 visitors this season!
Dear Friends,
Greetings! The past year-and-some has been long and exhausting, but this June we at Enfield Shaker Museum are preparing, once again, to open our doors for the season.
We know that the pandemic has caused many changes, not only for us, but also for our friends, supporters, and visitors. We have all experienced the pandemic differently, depending on our personal circumstances, but the common theme we have all encountered is change. We are all, at this moment, learning to build anew our community—or even building new communities—in both our physical and virtual worlds.
But because of our different experiences and changes, we are all currently in different places. Some of us are raring to go and ready to explore new people, places, and experiences. Others are more cautious, happy to remain closer to home. Still others, after the upheaval of the past year, are seeking places of reflection and recuperation.
We at the Museum are committed to providing meaningful experiences that reach all of us, safely, no matter who or where we are. But to do this, we need your help! From interpreter-guided tours to smartphone tours, from new, community-curated exhibits and continued digital programming to providing a beautiful retreat from daily life, we strive to part of everyone’s community. This year, NH Gives runs from June 8 at 5 pm to 5 pm on June 9. Every dime we raise during this event helps us along in our efforts to provide programming for and to all.
Whatever your aims for the coming year, we hope you will help us reach our goal of raising $10,000 to welcome 10,000 visitors. And in turn, we hope you will partake in all we have to offer. Wherever you are.
Best wishes, and kindest regards,
Shirley Wajda, Ph.D.
Executive Director
Here are a few ways you can support us during this event:
- Donate: Get ready to give! Starting at 5 pm on June 8, visit the NH Gives website and make a donation to us and/or any of the other participating nonprofit organizations in your community. You will have 24 hours to make your donation, and all giving will end at 5 pm on June 9.
- Make your donation timely! New Hampshire Charitable Foundation has made available lots of prizes and gift matches at various times during the 24 hours of NH Gives–and we may have a trick or two up our sleeve as well! Giving during these prize or match times can make your gift go that extra mile.
- Be socially (media) active. Use your social media networks: post on Facebook, tweet about NH Gives, and share your love for your particular passion, whether it’s education, health care, animals, or the arts. Ask others to do the same.
- Become a fundraising champion. Everyone loves a champion, including us! We really need fundraising champions to help drive people to our NH Gives profile on June 8-9.
If you have any questions about NH Gives itself, you can check out the FAQ on their website. For any questions relating to our particular campaign please contact the Museum at (603) 632-4346 or email development@shakermuseum.org.
Thank you for your support!
