You’ll understand the full journey from farm to table, embodying the Shakers’ ethos of living in harmony with the land.

Session Four: Shaker Simplicity: Shaker Soups, Stocks & Stews
Step into the warmth and comfort of Shaker kitchens with our “Shaker Simplicity: Shaker Soups, Stocks, and Stews” workshop. Immerse yourself in the timeless art of creating a nourishing, soul-satisfying meal inspired by Shaker culinary traditions.
In this workshop, you will:

Weather permitting, dine in the Shaker Herb Garden
Enjoy locally sourced ingredients from Stewart Farm, and the Shaker Gardens
Red and White table wine will be offered at dinner.
Groups of four will work together at three work stations to create a meal to share together while learning about Shaker cooking practices and techniques, Shaker self-sustainability, and communal dining.
Class is limited to 12 participants. Advance registration is required.
