Volunteer at Enfield Shaker Museum

We Couldn’t Do It Without Our Volunteers!

Visitors come to Enfield Shaker Museum for a variety of reasons: interest in history and historical sites, curiosity about the Shakers and how they lived, love of the outdoors, enjoyment of gardens, participation in community events, desire to learn and thirst for new experiences.   Whatever the motivation, Enfield Shaker Museum’s volunteers have used their time, talent, and treasure to make their visit a memorable one!

Volunteers play an essential role at Enfield Shaker Museum.  Almost 200 volunteers from all across New England help us fulfill our mission through more than 5,000 hours of service annually. Whatever your interest or background, we have opportunities for your special talents, including: gardening, administrative support, educational programs, fundraising events, historic preservation, landscaping, governance, publicity, and more!

Volunteers enjoy the benefits of on-site educational opportunities, shop discounts, free admission, recognition and new friendships. Training and support are provided. Hours and days are flexible.
