A peaceful, spacious place to gather, Enfield Shaker Museum can provide inspirational immersion in our historic site or simply serve as a picturesque backdrop for your next retreat or workshop. Our diverse spaces are perfectly suited to both small and large groups. We can offer:

The Great Stone Dwelling

The Great Stone Dwelling was completed in 1841 and features authentic Shaker architecture and design. Clean, bright, and welcoming, the building’s rooms have a historic country feeling in the Shaker style. On the first floor, you will find the Dining Room and the Kitchen. We have a restaurant-style kitchen equipped for large parties. On the second floor, you will find the Meeting Room. Both the Dining Room and Meeting Room are popular locations for receptions, parties, workshops, and meetings. Located on the third and fourth floors of this spectacular building are 20 Retiring Rooms available for your guests. Available all year.

Meeting Room in the Great Stone Dwelling

Large and spacious, this room is where the Shakers did their meeting, singing, praying, and dancing. The room features large windows, small dimming chandeliers, and lovely pine floors for dancing. With just over 2,000 square feet, it can be set up in a myriad of floorplans for retreats, conferences, presentations or workshops.

Dining Room in the Great Stone Dwelling
Capacity: 54-60 Seated, 100 Standing
Availability: All year

The Dining room is the perfect setting for seated meals and smaller gatherings. Like its sister room upstairs, it features original Shaker architecture including beautiful pine floors, large windows, and Shaker peg board and drawer and cabinet built-ins. All day events often use the Meeting Room for conference space and the Dining Room for meal breaks.

Retiring Rooms in the Great Stone Dwelling
Capacity: 35+ adults
Availability: All Year
The Museum also offers 20 Retiring Rooms in the Great Stone Dwelling. Each room features original Shaker architecture and an array of reproduction Shaker furniture. The Great Stone Dwelling has 2 Triples, 11 Doubles and 7 Singles for 35 queen-sized beds total. All rooms have private bathrooms.

The Stone Mill

Availability: April-November

The Stone Mill features beautiful granite stone walls inside and out. It has a large, open ceiling with two stories of original 19th century windows. Located across the street from the Great Stone Dwelling, at the foot of Mt. Assurance, the Stone Mill makes for a beautiful rustic setting. This building’s 2200 square feet can be set up to your liking, and it is popular for both sit-down parties and as a ‘Cocktail Hour’ location. Its rustic interior can also be used for workshops or as a home base for outdoor activities – There are multiple trails leading into NH Fish and Game land easily accessible from the Stone Mill.

Bar Options
At The Enfield Shaker Museum we can provide all alcohol for your event. We have several different bar options available and will gladly create a bar that suits your needs. Contact our Hospitality Coordinator to learn about different bar setups, including cash bars, limited consumption bars and open bars.

Kitchen Use
If you are renting The Stone Mill, you or your caterer may use our restaurant style kitchen for the duration of your rental for an additional $150. Kitchen use is included in all Great Stone Dwelling rentals. You can organize your food through the Museum, self-cater, or bring in your own caterer.

Overnight Rooms
If you have guests who are interested in staying overnight for your event, we have twenty cozy overnight rooms located in the Great Stone Dwelling. Overnight rates range from $140 to $170 per night. Discounts are available for groups renting more than 5 rooms and for groups renting for more than 3 nights in a row. Please contact our Hospitality Coordinator for details.
