Join local chefs Nan Munsey Carolyn Freese in this culinary workshop to create a sampling of winter soups and homemade biscuits. Make it a cozy afternoon in the kitchen of the Great Stone Dwelling by learning to make two soups and the best biscuits you have ever tasted! Participants will learn techniques for enhancing soup stocks and creating tender biscuits.  Soup sampling and biscuit munching at the end of the workshop!
Plan to take recipes and a small sample of each home.

Ginger Garlic Chicken Noodle Soup
Vegetable Soup with Caramelized Onions and Pecorino cheese

Who are Nan Munsey and Carolyn Freese?

Carolyn Freese is the owner of Duck Soup Catering in Canaan, NH where she has been honing her trade for 23 years.  Although no longer an active partner at Duck Soup Catering, Nan Munsey was one of the founding partners. She and Carolyn worked together for many years before her “retirement”.  Most recently, Nan has been the “test chef” and “recipe adjuster” for Enfield Shaker Museum’s Shaker Recipes section of the website.  Be sure to check out the many delicious recipes she has worked on for us.
