Terms and Conditions for Overnight Guests

By placing a booking with us (Enfield Shaker Museum or our representative) you (the main guest) and your booking party (guests) agree to the following terms and conditions. If you have any questions about our terms and conditions, please contact us before making a booking.

To place a booking with us, the main guest must be at least 18 years of age. The maximum number of staying guests per room is illustrated in the room occupancy details on the website. Where the person making the booking is different from the main guest and others in the booking party, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival, and damages.

Payments can be made online, over the phone using a debit or credit card, as well as by bank transfer, check, or cash.

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in after: 3:00 p.m. on day of arrival
Check-out by: 11:00 a.m. on day of departure

Cancellation, Returned Deposit & Non-Arrival

Because of our small size, a last-minute cancellation gives us little chance of re-booking the canceled room. Guests who need to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible.

Funds already paid are only returned in accordance with the following conditions:
Cancellation made eight (8) days or more in advance of arrival date will receive a full refund.
Cancellation made seven (7) days or less in advance of arrival date will not receive a full refund.

Dartmouth Graduation: Rooms reserved for Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday during Dartmouth Graduation, must be cancelled thirty (30) days prior to arrival, in order to receive a full refund.

Guests who arrive late, depart early, or who fail to attend for whatever reason, will be responsible for the full amount of the booking.

In the rare event we need to cancel your booking with us, our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made.

Parking

On-site parking is provided in designated parking areas. Guests accept that they park their vehicles at their own risk.

Smoking

Smoking of any tobacco products including, but not limited to, cigarettes, pipes, cigars, snuff, or chewing tobacco, is not permitted in any of the buildings at Enfield Shaker Museum or in any areas adjacent to the Museum’s buildings. The New Hampshire Indoor Smoking Act (RSA 155: 64-77), prohibits the use of e-cigarettes from wherever smoking is prohibited. Smoking or vaping of marijuana is not permitted. Noncompliance will result in a $250 surcharge per room.

Use of the Kitchen

Overnight guests are welcome to use the ice machine and ice buckets that are located in the kitchen.

Use of the kitchen for meal preparation by overnight guests is not allowed. Groups booking the entire inn may arrange for expanded use of the kitchen for an additional fee. Moving or removing kitchen equipment is not allowed. Noncompliance may result in a $250 cleaning fee.

Overnight guests may not use microwaves, slow cookers, hot plates, or any other electric cooking device in their room.

Pets & Service Dogs

Enfield Shaker Museum’s overnight accommodations are dog-friendly with advance notice and payment of a small one-time fee. The fee will be waived for those traveling with service animals. Please inquire for more information before booking; there is a limited number of dog-friendly rooms. Regrettably, pets other than dogs are not allowed.

Damages & Lost Property

We reserve the right to charge the main guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes spills, stains, breakages, and damage to furniture, fixtures, or the historic structure itself. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimize damage and associated costs. Lost keys will incur a replacement charge per key lost.

Any lost property left behind by guests during a stay, if found, will be held for a period of one month. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners, we accept no responsibility for replacing lost items. We can ship lost items via Priority Mail (or similar service) at the cost of the property owner; otherwise pickup can be arranged.

Our Right To Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel any booking without compensation, refund, or reimbursement if the terms of these conditions are not met.
