Employment Opportunities – Full Time Year-Round
Education Coordinator
Supervision of overall educational function and outreach of the Museum. Overall responsibility for general program development, including working with staff and volunteers to create and carry out core, seasonal, and event-based, dynamic educational and interpretive programs, for a variety of multi-generational audiences; museum administrative duties; and supervision of educational professionals and volunteers.

Garden Coordinator
Responsible for the maintenance and development of Enfield Shaker Museum’s herb and production gardens. The Garden Coordinator provides leadership for the vision, education, design, planning, harvest, and product development relative to the Museum’s gardens and landscape.

Internship Opportunities
University and college undergraduate and graduate students are invited to fulfill internship credits with hands-on work at Enfield Shaker Museum. The Museum seeks students in Public History, Museum Studies, Historical Archaeology, History, American Studies, History of Religion, Art History, Architectural History, Historic Preservation, and Cultural Heritage Studies, as well as Marketing, Graphic Design, and Library Science.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers play an essential role in the operation of Enfield Shaker Museum. Almost 200 volunteers from all across New England help us fulfill our mission through more than 5,000 hours of service annually. Our volunteers bring a variety of skills and interests to the Museum. We’re always looking for help with educational programs, historic preservation, gardening, landscaping, publicity, fundraising events, administrative support, governance, and more!
