Infused Herbal Vinegars and Herbal Salts
Herbal Harmony Series: Harmonizing Flavors
Sunday, July 7, 2024
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Delve into the art of preserving herbs through the creation of infused herbal vinegars and herbal salts!
Your journey begins in the historic Enfield Shaker Herb Garden, where you will explore the benefits of preserving herbs and how to select and harvest the right herbs for preservation. Indulge your senses and discover the fragrances, the colors, and unique natural beauty to be found in the diverse herb plants. As you stroll the garden paths, you will harvest a personal blend of herbs from the garden for your preservation project.
After gathering the herbs, you will discover the art of infusing vinegars with herbs to create flavors to enhance your culinary creations. Learn different methods for making herbal slats, including drying, grinding, and blending for a versatile seasoning. You will receive individual hands-on guidance from our Museum Garden Coordinator Susan Quinlan, as you create your own herbal vinegars and salts to take home.
All materials are included.
Class is limited to 12 participants. Advance registration is required.
