Exhibits at Enfield Shaker Museum
Enfield Shaker Museum’s collection includes thousands of objects dating from the 1790’s to the 1920’s–Enfield Shaker furniture; textiles; oval boxes, pails, and measures; agricultural and industrial implements; products of Enfield Shaker industry; books and manuscripts; photographs and stereoviews. When you visit the Museum, you will see a selection on display.
We want you to experience as much of our collection as possible, so from time to time we will put new objects on display. Visit often–there will always be something new to discover!
In addition, you will see temporary exhibits with Enfield Shaker objects from the Museum’s collection, together with items on loan from private and public collections.

Enfield Shaker Stereographs and the Photographers Who Published Them
April 20, 2018 – November 30, 2021
At the Enfield Shaker Forum in April 2018, Enfield Shaker Museum mounted an exhibit of about 140 stereoviews (also called stereographs) in the Meeting Room on the second floor of the Great Stone Dwelling. The goal of this project was to locate one of every single stereoview taken at the Enfield, New Hampshire Shaker community. And equally important, we wanted to identify the photographers and learn a lot more about them—not only to help us date the stereoviews, but also because we feel that it is important for us and for our museum visitors to go beyond the images themselves and learn about the individuals who created them.
The Enfield Shaker Stereographs Exhibit is available on the Museum’s website.
