The Mary Keane Chapel Organ and Violin Recital will feature Gail Jennings and Colleen Jennings presenting  with J. S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations for Organ and Violin.

Gail has recently retired after 31 years as Organist at Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This summer Gail and her violinist husband, Andy will present their 40th concert in the St. Gaudens Summer Concert Series.

Colleen was formerly Co-Artistic Director of the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music in Nelson, NH and second violinist in the Apple Hill String Quartet. She currently teaches violin at the University of Massachusetts and Smith College.

Gail writes, “During the dark days of the COVID pandemic, learning and arranging this monumental work for organ and violin became a joyful project.” In 1741 when the work was published, Bach wrote on the title page – “Composed for the refreshment of one’s spirit.”
