Are you passionate about history, nature, and community involvement? If so, we invite you to join us for an exciting opportunity to become a part of the Enfield Shaker Museum Village Gardeners Volunteer Program.
At the Enfield Shaker Museum, we believe in preserving history while nurturing nature. Our gardens are not just beautiful spaces but living testaments to the Shaker heritage and their sustainable farming practices. As we gear up for the upcoming gardening season, we’re seeking enthusiastic volunteers like you to help us tend to these historic grounds.
To learn more about our Village Garden Volunteer Program and how you can get involved, we’re hosting an Information Coffee and Garden Tour event. This informal gathering will provide you with insights into the history of the Shakers, our approach to gardening, and the various ways you can contribute your time and talents.
During the event, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Explore the early spring herb gardens of the Enfield Shaker Museum.
- Meet our dedicated staff and current volunteers.
- Learn about the history and significance of the Shaker gardening tradition.
- Discover how you can play a vital role in preserving this heritage through volunteer work.
- Enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, and light refreshments as we chat and get to know one another.
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or simply curious about meeting new friends and lending a helping hand, we welcome individuals of all skill levels and backgrounds. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
Please let us know that you are coming by registering below.
We look forward to sharing our love for herb gardening and history with you at the Enfield Shaker Museum. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in preserving this treasured garden for all to enjoy.
Hope to see you there,
