“Together Again” Campaign Continues

“Together Again” Campaign Continues.

The “Together Again” campaign continues, so that the Museum can raise the funds for urgent repairs and routine maintenance to the five Shaker buildings on the North Family site.

The roof of the Laundry is leaking badly. The ancient steam boiler in the Trustees’ Office needs replacement soon with a more fuel-efficient system. The electric panels and wiring in all the buildings are antiquated and dangerous. To protect Mascoma Lake, the current septic system must be connected directly to the Town of Enfield’s sewer system. Only one of the buildings is (partially) ADA compliant. There are fences to repair and trees to be replanted. The list goes on.

We have a BIG job to do over the next few years–and we are looking forward to getting it done!
