Museum Hires New Garden Coordinator

Susan Quinlan To Be New Garden Coordinator.

Canaan resident Susan Quinlan was hired recently to be the new Garden Coordinator at Enfield Shaker Museum. Members and visitors may remember meeting Susan last season in the Museum Gift Shop, where she did an exemplary job as a Visitor Outreach Associate. However, with more than 40 years of gardening experience, Susan will be “in the place just right” (as the Shakers would say) in her new position as Garden Coordinator. Susan replaces Diana Kimball-Anderson, who relocated to Virginia to be near her college-age children.

The Garden Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance and development of Enfield Shaker Museum’s flower and herb gardens, and historic apple orchard. Susan will be working with the Village Gardeners, Community Garden Coordinator(s), staff members, volunteers, students, and board-approved committees on an ongoing basis to meet the overall mission of the Garden and the Museum and to provide a high-quality experience for Museum visitors.

Please welcome Susan when you see her in the Museum Garden next season!

And if you enjoy gardening and want to learn more from Susan and her team of experienced gardeners, why not become a Village Gardener yourself?
